SUNDAY SERVICE

Join us for worship on Sunday, May 12, at the usual time of 11am in our Old Parish Church. Tea and coffee will be served after the service in the lower hall.

If housebound, you can join us live in worship, online, through hitting the EKOPC YouTube link on our Facebook page at www. facebook.com/EKOLDPC which will appear on the morning of the service.

CHURCH MAGAZINE

Our May edition of the EKO is now available by email and online on our EKOPC website. Physical copies are available for uplift by distributo­rs in the foyer of the church.

SUNDAY SCHOOL

This meets in the upper hall next to the church at the usual time of 11am where we cater for preschool to P7.

Children should be dropped off between 10.50am and 11am and collected after the service.

SUMMER HOLIDAY CLUB

Registrati­on forms are now available for the summer holiday club 2024.

The club is free and will run from August 5 to 9 every morning from 10am until noon in the church, lower hall and upper hall.

Places are limited and will be issued on a first come basis so please complete and return your registrati­on forms ASAP to avoid disappoint­ment.

CHILDREN’S ART CLUB

This meets Thursday from 4.30pm until 6pm in The Glebe Street Hall.

JUNIOR BADMINTON CLUB

This meets Friday from 4pm until 5.30pm in The Glebe Street Hall.

COFFEE MORNING

Join us with your friends on Thursday mornings from 10am until 12pm in the Glebe Street Hall. Enjoy tea/coffee and tray bakes while getting a heat and some chat. All welcome.

Please note there will be no coffee morning on Thursday, May 16, as there will instead be a Christian Aid coffee morning on Saturday, May 18.

SUMMER GUILD

This will meet on the first Wednesday of the month in the lower hall at 2pm (next one meets on June 5). There will be a quiz chat and tea and coffee.

CRAFT CLUB

This meets on a Wednesday in the lounge area of the church from 10am until noon.

There are lots of different crafts to enjoy along with a cuppa warmth and a chat. All welcome.

LOAVES AND FISHES

For the vulnerable in our community, there is a box at the church door on Sundays for non-perishable food, all toiletries, hygiene and cleaning products.

WARM SPACES

This is now over until winter.

DATES FOR YOUR DIARY

Doors Open Day – Saturday, May 11, 10am to 3pm. Church and lower hall, there will be a display of the life of the parish during the past five centuries.

Christian Aid Week – May 12 to 18 (More details to follow.)

Christian Aid Coffee Morning – Saturday, May 18, from 10am till midday.

There will be some stalls at this too.

Coalburn Silver Band Concert – Friday, June 21 (watch this space for further informatio­n).

Angus McConnell Memorial Church And Community Football Tournament – Sunday, May 19, from 2pm-4pm at St Kenneth’s Primary School, West Mains Road, East Kilbride.

This is the fourth event in memory of the church’s dear friend Angus.

It is hoped that seven or eight teams will join this afternoon of football, fun, food and fellowship.

Come along and support our team and be encouraged by almost 70 children and young people having a great time. All welcome!

Communion – Sunday, June 2, and Thursday, June 6.

Family service – Sunday, June 9.

GREENHILLS CHURCH

Our church continues to be open for worship every Sunday, starting from 11am.

Coffee mornings are held every Tuesday, from 10am to 11.30am. They are always well supported by the local community.

Maboob Mashi, who is our interim moderator, is supporting the congregati­on.

CLAREMONT CHURCH CHURCH SERVICE

The Sunday service on May 12 will be at 10.30am, all are welcome.

Junior Church is for ages 5-11 and Youth Church for S1 – S6.

Our Sunday morning service is also live streamed each week and can be watched on our website or YouTube channel.

Creche facilities are also available.

Ladies’ Circle is on Tuesday, May 14, at 1.30pm

Good Companions is on Thursday, May 16, at 1.30pm.
