South Africa have beaten Morocco twice since their historic 2022 Fifa World Cup adventure. After their first win over the Atlas Lions in June last year at FNB Stadium, their coach, Walid Regragui, predicted that Bafana Bafana had the potential to cause a massive surprise at the #AFCON2023. He probably did not expect it to be against his team.

@Motherboarddoc1

Can’t we have Cape Verde and Angola at the same time? We are wasting time and we are tired of beating these teams. At this point, we are humiliating them. We can take Cape Verde in the first half and Angola in the second half.

@OriginalKhutso5

The starting line-up for South Africa involved nine players based in South Africa, one in Egypt and one in Europe. It tells you about the belief in self and the superiority complex. Morocco brought their stars from all over Europe. The PSL is a great league.

@lindrishi

Congratulations, Bafana! You played with all your might, and played so well. Play even harder in the quarters; you will definitely win. We’re behind you all the way.

@CueSibiya

The Boks won the World Cup in 1995, and in 1996, Bafana Bafana won the Africa Cup of Nations. Could this be history repeating itself?

Let the appreciation be as loud as the criticism when he concedes. His name is Ronwen “Mashidi a Mhlophe” (Clean Sheets) Williams. Bafana Bafana captain appreciation post.

So much winning! The Springboks, ICJ, Sheep Shearing, Bafana Bafana, Proteas, Tylah, Spar Proteas Netball, AmaPiano. Everything.

@Malume_Grand

I have seen the work being done in the field but Veli Mothwa’s moral support is second to none. He’s always there for handing out water, in the front for celebrations, shouting from the bench and pushing the team. That’s what we call a team player.

@RayMaboya

The hard work has paid off. We need to prepare for Cape Verde as they’e a tough opponent We want to beat them and then it’ll be the Hillbrow Derby in the semi-finals.

@zizikodwa

What a fantastic performance by @ BafanaBafana! This win shows what our national teams can achieve with the support of South Africans. Let’s continue to support Bafana Bafana as they march to the #AFCON2023 quarter-finals!
