#BafanaBafana and #Afcon2023 trended on X after South Africa played against Tunisia. The draw match was enough for SA to finish second in Group E and enter the round of 16. This is how people reacted:
@popeyekeet Well done boys. Well done Bafana Bafana. First phase done. Now on to the next. Keep going. @Ewe_Nguye
Not a pleasing game of football in the eye, but the boys did what needed to be done and got the job done. Onto the next stage we move. #BafanaPride
@romytitus
I am always proud of the team. I represent my country when it comes to singing the national anthem. But on Wednesday it was on another level! I am brimming with pride! Well done @ BafanaBafana. Just like we said, just like we planned!
@NdlelantlePiny2
Shaky and to be honest, teams that have qualified play very good football. I can’t confidently give Bafana Bafana a win in the next round.
@MzakesTe
We are grateful for the work that you guys do for us. I hope the boys know that they have what it takes to remain in Code’dvore until the last minute of the tournament.
@KabeloMak_
That Champions League semi-final that Sundowns lost/drew 2-2 against Wydad delivered the experience that Bafana Bafana needed to withstand the pressure of having to defend the whole game and not concede a goal. CCL experience showed itself tonight. Congrats #BafanaBafana
@emeka_rn2
The goals. The comebacks. The minnows stepping up. The grit. The introduction of new nations and players. Young players coming to the party and wonderful moments. This is the best #AFCON in my books. We love African football.
@MarvinKhombisa
Well done boys, just remember, from here on no more draws please, but nonetheless congratulations boys. On to the next one.
@TheKiffness
Congrats Bafana Bafana. A draw against Tunisia is no small feat. Most exciting 0-0 game I have watched!
@IronicMof
That was a disgrace of a display from us. We have qualified but how does our association condone such a distasteful performance from the team? We had an opportunity to finish top of our group only for them to show up and settle for a point. Remember, you represent all of us.
