A typical country home on a Limpopo smallholding

-

Dear Jonno,

My family and I are moving away from the city to a smallholding in Limpopo, and we want you to design us a home. We need a three-bedroom home, with facilities for visitors, and more!

At a later stage, we will be building some one- and two-bedroom selfcatering units. For now, the house must have a spacious open-plan living, dining and kitchen area. The main bedroom must be en-suite, with an outside shower. We also want a walk-in closet. The other two bedrooms can have a shared bathroom and shower, which can be used by visitors.

The entrance to the home can be from the rear, where the garage and visitor parking will be. Visitors will then also enter a reception and office for payments, and so on. The home must have a large front veranda to look over the view facing the south-east. This is where family and friends can enjoy the outside living and dining.

The style should be typical country, all based on one level, with some rockwork and veranda columns. The roof angle can be shallow, with steel sheeting. Kind regards,

Josh and Hilda

Dear Josh and Hilda,

Thanks so much for the detailed description and requirements for your new home-to-be. Based on that, I’ve configured a home that will pander to your daily living, inside and out. The rooms are of good size and will accommodate the usual furnishings with ease.

The perspective view of the home includes the rockwork suggestion, and I have utilised sliding doors. The living area can be open-beamed, which adds to the illusion of spaciousness. Also shown is a small outdoor splash pool, as water is always a soothing attraction.

Lots to think about, so let’s have your further feedback.

Kind regards,

Jonno

I am a 55-year-old widow and would like to correspond with men between the ages of 58 and 61. Looking forward to hearing from you.

ANGEL

I am a 40-year-old, fair-skinned, 1,73m-tall woman living in Cape Town. I’m a jill of all trades, loyal, an animal lover, and ecstatic to be living the farm life.

I’m seeking a man between 39 and 46 years old who wants to trade the city lights for farm nights. Let’s grow together! I want a jack of all trades with holistic values and good morals who will be happy to work with me to build a harmonious future and probably a chicken coop. He must have a good sense of humour, be caring, and share my ideals.

WANT TO BE HOMESTEADING

I am a 59-year-old white lady who loves animals, camping and the outdoors. I’m looking for a financially secure white man to be my soulmate. He needs to love dogs and be of sober habits. I am a Christian and don’t smoke or drink.

BRIDGID

I am a 54-year-old single Caucasian lady who is 1,63m tall and slim. I have no dependants and reside in the Eastern Cape. I am a pet lover and enjoy the outdoors and the small treasures of life, such as gardening, going for walks, and following a healthy lifestyle. Caucasian men between the ages of 50 and 60, with similar interests and a desire to meet a keeper, are welcome to correspond with me. Please attach a recent full-length photo of yourself along with your reply letter.

A KEEPER

I’m a witty and warm-hearted woman seeking a kindred spirit with whom

I can share laughter, adventures, and life’s simple pleasures. I am petite and have dark-brown hair and blue eyes. I’ve been told I’m pretty. When I’m not working, you can find me hiking, trying new recipes, or practising yoga.

I’m looking for someone who is genuine, optimistic, and always up for a good conversation. If you’re a gentleman who also loves the outdoors and is a food enthusiast, let’s connect and see where the journey takes us!

SIMPLY LOVELY
