Windaba, Africa’s leading renewable energy conference and exhibition, invites organisations from around the world to showcase their innovations and expertise at the Cape Town International Convention Centre from 1 to 3 October 2024.
The wind industry in South Africa has witnessed tremendous growth since 2010, solidifying its position as a leading renewable energy technology in the country. With the first wind farms reaching commercial operation in 2014 and a total of 34 operational wind farms as of the fourth quarter of 2023, the value of industry platforms like Windaba is undeniable.
Now in its 13th year, Windaba attracts more than 900 conference delegates, including industry experts, entrepreneurs, investors and government officials. With South Africa committed to diversifying its energy mix, wind energy is positioned to play a crucial role in transforming the energy landscape. As the conference owners and organisers, the South African Wind Energy Association sees Windaba as the perfect vehicle to advocate for the value and impact of wind energy, as well as attract investment opportunities. The event aims to accelerate the global energy transition and foster collaboration among industry stakeholders. It presents a multitude of networking and exhibition opportunities, fostering growth and development within the sector.
Over the years, Windaba exhibitors have successfully showcased their expertise, innovations and contributions to the renewable energy sector. This has resulted in industry collaborations and new business ventures, all with the same goal in mind: transitioning to a low-carbon, renewable energy future.
From a value proposition perspective, exhibiting at Windaba allows delegates and exhibitors to contribute positively to the sector’s socio-economic development by supporting the only South Africanowned renewable energy conference and exhibition to boast a global audience.
This year, more than 1 852 people are expected to attend Windaba, including representatives from over 290 companies across various renewable energy industries and delegates from more than 10 countries. This provides the opportunity for participants to showcase their products and services to a global audience actively seeking innovative solutions and collaborations, as well as gain extensive brand exposure through Windaba’s comprehensive digital media coverage and prominent branding opportunities at the event venue.
