Wife of EFF’s Ndlozi outed for liking X post by Floyd Shivambu

WRITER, director and artist Mmabatho Montsho has been in the spotlight on X (formerly Twitter) for her online activity, which undermine husband Mbuyiseni Ndlozi’s political loyalties to the EFF.

With the recent exit of the EFF’s second-in-command Floyd Shivambu, social media users have been scrutinising every move made by those associated with the party.

Montsho was caught liking Shivambu’s post on Instagram, in which the new Umkhonto weSizwe Party member wrote: “The time comes in the life of any nation where there remain only two choices – fight or submit”.

Some social media users have speculated that Ndlozi might be the next to head to the exit.

This comes after EFF leader Julius Malema’s fiery statements on Monday, where he said anyone who wanted to leave the party was not being held captive.

“Leave now, so that we can know how many soldiers we have in this struggle to liberate us. You must leave today because nothing is going to change between now and December, nothing is going to change now and the future,” Malema said.

“A leader of the EFF who is well known, very popular on social media, television, radio and everywhere else, the EFF gets under attack; these leaders do not say anything because they don’t know where they stand. There is a practical way to find out where they stand. Just go and look at where their relatives and spouses stand. You will know those closest to them are speaking on their behalf because they whispered into their ears.”

An X user going by the handle Vanillasausy wrote that Malema seemed to not only monitor his members’ social media, but even monitored their family’s.

“Just a like or retweet can make you be expelled in the EFF. I am bleeding for Dr Ndlozi. This is abuse,” they posted.

Another user, tsheko2020, defended Montsho, saying: “Ndlozi’s wife Mmabatho Montsho is an adult and is within her rights to have different political view, Mbuyiseni must leave the cult and join another political party.”
