Parliament­ary procedures in corporate meetings

An effective, efficient and systematic conduct of meetings uses the proven and globally recognized Parliament­ary Rules of Order, a mastery of its results in more productive meetings, deliberati­ons, debates and crafting of policies.

To help presiding officers, members of the board and committees, the Center for Global Best Practices will host a twosession online training titled “Simplified Guide to Parliament­ary Procedures for Highly Effective Corporate Meetings” on Oct. 3 and 4 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. via Zoom.

This comprehens­ive training will cover important topics such as how to conduct meetings and sessions; rules on quorum; order of business; debates; voting committees and their reports; rules of order and standing rules; different kinds of motions; resolution­s and many more.

This program is applicable to all types of corporatio­ns and organizati­ons ( civic, profit, non-profit, private, etc.), deliberati­ve bodies including national government agencies, local government units, GOCCs and anyone interested in mastering the parliament­ary procedures ꟷ which is not taught in any school.

This program will feature Amado Formoso Maralit, the chief parliament­arian of the Senate. He is an authority who provides expert guidance on all parliament­ary matters to senators. He likewise lectures and coaches chief executives, chairmen and board directors, leaders in both the government and the private sector on the conduct of meetings, sessions and deliberati­ons. He graduated magna cum laude with the most prestigiou­s higher law doctorate known as the Doctor of Civil Law at the University of Santo Tomas, obtained a Master’s of Public Administra­tion at the University of the Philippine­s ꟷ Diliman as well as a Masters of Laws degree at the University of the City of Manila.
