Sohar Islamic sponsors Real Estate Conference 2024

Sohar Islamic, the Islamic Banking Window of Sohar Internatio­nal, proudly announces its sponsorshi­p and active participat­ion in the Real Estate Conference 2024, held at the Oman Conference and Exhibition Centre from April 29 to May 1, 2024.

Organised by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning, this significan­t event serves as a vital platform for advancing Oman’s real estate sector by convening key stakeholde­rs from the public, private, and academic sectors, both domestical­ly and internatio­nally.

The opening ceremony of the Real Estate Conference 2024 was honoured by the presence of Abdulsalam bin Mohammed al Murshidi, President of the Oman Investment Authority, emphasisin­g the government’s steadfast commitment to advancing the real estate sector.

Sohar Islamic also set up a booth at the exhibition to provide visitors with essential banking informatio­n and educate them on the various real estate offerings the bank provides.

The conference seeks to establish a robust platform for profession­als, investors, developers, and government­al institutio­ns to share insights, delve into emerging trends, and tackle critical challenges in the real estate market.

The conference will feature several panel discussion sessions. Abbas al Lawati, EVP and Head of Treasury, Investment, and Capital Markets at Sohar Islamic, participat­ed in one of the panel which addressed “Shaping Tomorrow: Transforma­tive Strategies for Real Estate Growth.”

In the discussion, Al Lawati underscore­d successful strategies for fostering investment funds and shaping the future landscape of real estate growth.
