Haj and Umrah pilgrims told to use Nusuk platform
Pilgrims from the Sultanate of Oman have been told to use the Nusuk platform while performing Umrah or Haj. Nusuk, launched by the Saudi Tourism Authority in 2022, helps the pilgrims to create itineraries to Mecca, Madina, and beyond.
“We request all pilgrims to use Nusuk, just as it is used by the travellers from all over the world, so that one can easily organise their entire visit, from applying for e-visa to booking hotels and flights and the like,” a travel contractor affiliated to the Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs (MOARA) said.
“The unified government platform to facilitate Umrah services can improve the service provided to Makkah and Madinah visitors. This is carried out based on systematic and institutional work and under the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to hit 30 million visitors by 2030,” a statement from the Nusuk said.
By using the Nusuk platform, all the procedures to perform Haj, Umrah and Ziyarah are simplified as the platform provides a range of diverse packages and programmes through private sector partners.
Nusuk also aims to develop the experience of the pilgrims and visitors from all over the world. It also upgrades the quality of services provided to the pilgrims and visitors, and enriches their religious and cultural experience.
“The most attractive part of Nusuk is that it provides its services in Arabic, English, Indonesian, Russian, French, Spanish, German, Turkish, Malaysian, and Urdu which makes it easier for people,” he said.
From 2023, the Nusuk platform has also made it compulsory for visitors to get necessary permits to perform Umrah and pray in Al Rawdah Al Sharifah without which one cannot visit the holy sites. One can apply for Umrah and Ziyarah which are available throughout the year, except for the Haj season.
