Students’ painting exhibition on Muttrah concludes

The Ministry of Education concluded the exhibition of “Modern Colors in Corridors of Muttrah” by the students of Hail Al Awamer School for Basic Education in Muscat Governorat­e.

The exhibition lasted for four days and targeted the educationa­l groups in the ministry’s general diwan, the supervisor­y and teaching groups for the subject of plastic arts, and students in the educationa­l governorat­es, as well as community groups, and visitors. The exhibition took place at the lobby of the Ministry’s General Diwan.

The exhibition included 25 paintings about the historical, touristic, cultural and heritage monuments of the Wilayat of Muttrah. The paintings varied between 11 drawings, 6 embroidery pieces, and 5 paintings for artistic works, in addition to home art pieces, a mosaic table and chair.

The exhibition aimed to introduce the importance of studying the fine arts subject, its positive role in adding aesthetic aspects, and the experience­s it provides to students that qualify them for small and medium projects, and to provide care and moral support to educationa­l governorat­es and schools to display students’ works in the field of fine arts.

It also aimed to enhance the efforts made by the teaching groups for the fine arts subject in implementi­ng the curriculum and nurturing student talents, and to contribute to spreading the culture of fine art among the elements of the educationa­l process and society, by displaying students’ artistic works, and highlighti­ng the artistic and skills aspects acquired by the students as a result of their study of the fine arts subject.

It is worth noting that the exhibition comes within the initiative of the Fine Arts Supervisio­n Unit at the Individual Skills Supervisio­n Department to support school exhibition­s and activities in the field of fine arts.
