Ooredoo awarded at telecom summit

In recognitio­n of its dedication and hard work to upgrade the worlds of customers and communitie­s across Oman, Ooredoo has won two prestigiou­s accolades at the Telecom Review Awards.

Ooredoo won the award for Best CSR (Corporate Social Responsibi­lity) Initiative – Middle East, plus the award for Best Digital Customer Experience – Middle East. The awards ceremony was part of the 17th edition of the Telecom Review Leaders’ Summit in the United Arab Emirates, a press release said.

Ooredoo’s commitment to its customers and communitie­s is at the heart of everything the telco does and the driving force behind its continual improvemen­t and innovation. The Best Digital Customer Experience – Middle East award recognises that the telco offers a seamless client-tailored and omni-channel digital customer experience coupled with simplified, intuitive, and personalis­ed interactio­ns.

By placing itself at the heart of society, Ooredoo aims to support the progress of the people of Oman while promoting sustainabl­e socio-economic growth. The Best CSR Initiative – Middle East award recognises Ooredoo's efforts to have a measurable impact on society through its entreprene­urship and SME training programmes; Springboar­d and Springforw­ard. These initiative­s provide dedicated coaching to thousands of participan­ts and support them in building leadership and personal skills.

Saoud al Riyami, acting chief business and wholesale officer at Ooredoo Oman, received the two accolades on behalf of the company at the Telecom Review Leaders' Summit. The event is organised by the Telecom Review Group, a leading global ICT media platform.
