As we come to the end of March - World Hearing Month why not get your hearing checked or have a free trial of hearing aids at Bellbird Hearing?
World Hearing month is a great reminder to everyone to have their hearing checked.
If you have concerns about your hearing, or your hearing aids aren’t working as well as they should be, pop in to see the friendly team at Bellbird Hearing.
As a local and committed Canterbury-based team, staff at Bellbird Hearing are dedicated to providing the community with a world-class hearing healthcare service.
Many clients come to Bellbird Hearing when other services haven’t worked out for them, says clinic manager and director Juliet Marsden. “Maybe you already have hearing aids from another provider, but you haven’t been getting the service or support you need. Why not try the experienced, trustworthy and knowledgeable team at Bellbird Hearing for a review of your hearing and hearing aids - you may be surprised at what can be achieved with your current hearing aids!”
Being independently owned puts Bellbird Hearing at an advantage when it comes to finding the best possible outcomes for clients, says Juliet. “Because one size doesn’t fit all, we always aim to come up with a tailor-made solution to meet your individual needs. Unlike some other hearing aid providers, we’re not owned by an overseas hearing aid company. This means we’re able to access hearing aids from all manufacturers rather than being beholden to just one, ensuring we find the best possible solution for you. And because we’re a small, locally-owned business, we can ensure continuity of care. We have clinics in Christchurch and Timaru.”
Meet the Ilam team
Juliet Marsden who is a fully qualified audiologist works mainly in our Timaru clinic and is the Ilam clinic manager. Registered nurse Anna Cleary has a wealth of experience and has dedicated the last 11 years of her working career performing wax removal. Administrator Jan Blair has been working in the hearing care industry for over 20 years and Rachel Kelman recently joined the team to help Jan out with the front desk.
A wide range of hearing services Bellbird Hearing offers a wide range of services, including hearing tests, hearing aids, hearing healthcare, hearing aid batteries, hearing aid repairs, wax removal (Christchurch only) and free hearing screen checks. Caroline is a full member of the New Zealand Audiological Society; therefore, she can access ACC funding, Veterans Affairs, Enable funding and government subsidies.
Reduced hearing is a common problem for people who work in industries where they’re subjected to noise exposure. “Noise exposure can result in permanent hearing loss, so we recommend people working in industries where they’re exposed to noise, to protect their hearing - protection is always better than the cure. If you’ve been subjected to noise in the workplace we can apply directly to ACC for noiseinduced hearing loss if you meet their criteria.”
