MARKET: Don’t miss the Little Big Markets — Winter Series at Coronation Park, Maunganui Rd, from 9am to 2pm today. With a huge range of gourmet street food and food-truck vendors, as well as a curated selection of stallholde­rs, you won’t be short of choice. There will be live music and lots of free activities to entertain the little ones.

BOOK SALE: Book-lovers come from overseas to hunt out hard-tofind titles so why not check out Rotorua’s Best Secondhand Bookstall? It’s on today from 9am to 1pm at the kiosk at Kuirau Park, with all sales benefiting Rotorua Library.

ROLLER SKATING: Get on a roll today at the Roller Disco at Queen Elizabeth Youth Centre, corner of Devonport and 11th Ave, Tauranga, from 1pm to 3pm. All ages and abilities are welcome. Basic instructio­n and tips, disco music, lights, a fog machine and limbo competitio­ns are all part of the fun.

SOCIAL KNITTING: You’ll find a collective of mad yarn bombers, sultry stitchery, happy hookers and arty nutters at Ninja Kints. It’s on tomorrow at The Incubator Creative Hub at The Historic Village in Tauranga from 9.30am to 11.30am. Members share yarns, both woolly and tall, laugh heaps, swap patterns, show off their latest projects and find there is nothing a good needling won’t fix.

CAR BOOT SALE: Run by, and to raise funds for, the Rotary Club of Otumoetai, tomorrow’s sale starts 7.30am for sellers ($10 a space) and and 8am for buyers at the college car park in Windsor Rd.
