CIMB launches playbook for SMEs
CIMB Bank Bhd and CIMB Islamic Bank Bhd have enrolled SME Corporation Malaysia in the bank’s GreenBizReady programme, designed for small and medium enterprises, as part of CIMB’s The Cooler Earth Sustainability Series.
CIMB also introduced the CIMB ESG Simplified Playbook for SMEs.
Through the collaboration between CIMB and SME Corp Malaysia, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) can take advantage of complimentary tools such as the MSME ESG Assessment.
This assessment provides an instant ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) indicator score on the SME’s level of ESG readiness.
SMEs can utilise the ESG Quick Guide for MSMEs, which offers simple step-by-step guidance for integrating ESG practices and developing a sustainability report.
In addition, SME Corp Malaysia also offers workshops, training and networking opportunities for CIMB’s SME customers to expand their knowledge and capabilities.
SME Corp Malaysia CEO Rizal bin Datuk Nainy said: “Being ESG-ready is a huge advantage for SMEs to access local and global markets. Hence, through this collaboration, more SMEs can gauge their ESG readiness and access valuable information and guidance to initiate ESG practices in their businesses.”
