GET INTIMATE WITH THE CYBERTRUCK

-

THIS is your chance to catch a glimpse of one of the most electrifying trucks in the world. Tesla’s Cybertruck is on display at the Pavilion Damansara Heights showroom from now until May 17.

Unfortunately, Tesla Malaysia cannot confirm if the model will ever be sold in Malaysia, much like the Model X and S,

Therefore, this may be your only chance to get up close with the model in Malaysia.

Chances are Malaysians may not see it on our roads either as many aspects of the vehicle, in its current form, may not comply with approval guidelines set by authorities.

Based on the left-hand drive North America specification, the Cybertruck comes in two variants: an All-Wheel Drive (AWD) model and the Cyberbeast.

Both, and a yet-to-be revealed Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) variant, share the same dimensions: a length of 5,682mm, a width of 2,032mm and a height of 1,791mm.

Its ground clearance is 406mm.

The dual motor AWD variant, with a retail price of US$79,990, has a 600hp setup. It can complete the century sprint in 4.1 seconds and has a top speed of 180kph.

It has a range of up to 547km (EPA), maximum towing capacity of 4,989kg and a maximum payload of 1,134kg. The Cyberbeast variant is priced at US$99,990 and trades some of the practicalities for power. It has a shorter range at 515km and a maximum payload of 1,030kg, but with a higher output at 845hp.

It can sprint from zero to 100kph in 2.3 seconds and has a top speed of 209kph. Radical in its build and design, the Cybertruck was first unveiled to the world in 2019. It would take almost four years later in July last year before Tesla announced the first Cybertruck had been built at its Giga Texas plant.

The first batch of the e-truck was delivered in November.

Tesla Malaysia previously sneaked in the truck as a teaser treat for fans just in time for the festive season. Selected participants at the time were invited to the Tesla Experience Centre in Cyberjaya to get a first-hand viewing of the electric truck.
