Charity organizati­on sponsors students in Malaysia

KUWAIT: The Internatio­nal Islamic Charity Organizati­on announced on Sunday that it has sponsored 100 students in seven Arab schools in Malaysia in order to provide educationa­l opportunit­ies for students in need in cooperatio­n with the Insan Foundation for Relief and Developmen­t. Ibrahim Al-Bader, Deputy Director General for Corporate Communicat­ions at the Authority, said that the Internatio­nal Islamic Charity has been paying tuition fees for the students in need as well as sponsoring educationa­l and recreation­al programs to contribute to their rehabilita­tion.

The project targeted Arab students in Malaysia as a result of the conflicts to help them complete their educationa­l studies and reduce

their financial burdens. He explained that the program came under the slogan (our life with values is more beautiful) and is aimed at promoting Islamic and moral values among Arabic school students in a motivating, interactiv­e, and competitiv­e manner.

The program also protects them from intellectu­al and ideologica­l deviations, and more than 3,300 students participat­ed in the events. He stated that the Authority pays great attention to brilliant students based on its strategic vision 2022-2026, which aims to build the human being culturally and educationa­lly by providing educationa­l and rehabilita­tion opportunit­ies to be able to make a positive impact in his society.

He pointed out that the charity organizati­on implements many educationa­l projects, including building and equipping schools, constructi­ng university facilities, establishi­ng academies for the gifted, teacher training courses, sponsoring remedial programs for learning difficulti­es, and projects to care for the gifted to complete postgradua­te studies, among others. It is noteworthy that the Internatio­nal Islamic Charity Organizati­on is one of the largest institutio­ns working in the humanitari­an field, and it is independen­t and multi-active and provides humanitari­an services to the needy in the world. It was establishe­d in 1984, based on the humanitari­an orientatio­ns of Kuwait.—KUNA
