Division 4A

Kilmore United began the season with a big win on their travels as a Jeff Kearney hat-trick helped them to a 5-1 triumph over St. Joseph’s in Grove Park on Sunday.

Luke Hunt and Jake Walsh got the other goals for the winners, while Pádraig Moran replied.

Fastnet Rovers also won on the road as they overcame Campile United 3-1. Ben Kelly (two) and Shane Kelly netted for the Rathangan outfit, while Shane Banville grabbed a consolation goal for the hosts with ten minutes remaining.

Darnell Lawlor opened the scoring for Bridge Rovers on the stroke of half-time to pave the way for a 3-0 win over Gorey Celtic at the Bogside. Cormac Mythen and Wiktor Janczy extended their advantage after the break.

A Jamie St. Ledger double helped Rosbercon United to a 3-2 win over Ferns United. Corey St. Ledger got their other goal, while Jack

Salt and Jonathan Whelan scored for Ferns.

Dillon Nolan gave Caim United the lead after 20 minutes away to Wexford Bohs, but that was as good as it got for the visitors as the home side stormed back with goals from Aaron McMahon, Luke O’Rourke and Kyle Turner for a 3-1 win.

Division 5

Castledockrell Newpark United were much too good for Bree United at Macmine on Sunday, running out comprehensive 8-0 winners.

Chris Atkinson scored four goals for the visitors, with Brian Roban, Aengus Tierney, Mikey Quigley and Cian Jordan chipping in with a goal apiece.

Stephen Reilly also helped himself to a four-timer as Rathnure United overcame Adamstown 7-2. Syl Barron, Nicky Quigley and Owen Lennon also got on the scoresheet for the winners, while Joey Sinnott and Daniel Murphy netted for Adamstown.

Camolin Celtic had a productive afternoon in Sinnottstown Lane as they saw off hosts Wexford Celtic 5-0. Shane Fleming, Thomas Furlong, Lee Byrne (two) and Ewan Byrne got the goals for the visitors.

Tombrack United and Shamrock Rovers shared the spoils after a 3-3 stalemate. Brian Hancock gave Tombrack an early lead, but Jack Jordan netted a goal in each half to edge Rovers ahead and, when Charlie Donnelly made it 3-1 in the 74th minute, the visitors appeared home and hosed.

The hosts had other ideas, however, and Jamie Murphy pulled a goal back in the 83rd minute before Oisín Farrell equalised three minutes later.

An injury-time Darren Hayden goal earned Taghmon United a 1-1 draw with All Blacks in Casey Park.

It looked like Fionn Mulligan had won it for the hosts in the 79th minute, but Hayden had the final say.
