ENNISCORTHY’S Treacy’s Hotel was named ‘Hotel of the Week’ by Caledonian Travel on August 26.

Caledonian Travel is an award-winning British company that offers a wide range of short breaks and holidays by coaches.

They chose Treacy’s Hotel as this week’s winner based on its friendly service, superior standard, and the picturesque surrounding of the town and promenade.

“Situated in the picturesque Enniscorthy on the banks of the River Slaney, Treacy’s Hotel in County Wexford promises a very warm welcome, gracious hospitality, and a superior standard of personal friendly service,” they said.

“One of Wexford’s finest boutique hotels, Treacy’s Hotel combines glamour with oldworld elegance, and is perfectly located on the bustling vibrant street of Templeshannon,” they added.

Frequent travellers flooded the comment section to agree with the decision and wrote about their own positive experiences at the property.

One commenter wrote: “Had a brilliant time at this hotel last year. Great hotel, wonderful staff, food and entertainment fab, would definitely go again.”

Another wrote: “We loved that hotel. My granddaughter lives in Gorey not far from there and our son brought her to see us. Special memories as she was just learning to walk.”

In 2017, the Enniscorthy building underwent a substantial renovation to add a 26 room extension, and the chain has hotels across the country in Waterford, Ennis, and near Shannon Airport.

This year the Wexford location was also chosen to be the proud recipients of a Tripadvisor’s Traveller’s Choice Award for 2024. At the time they said: “We are immensely grateful to all of our guests for your continued support and fantastic reviews.”
