COMMUNITY PICNIC
Bring a picnic and blanket and enjoy a fun filled day celebrating our community on Wednesday 21st August, from 12pm-2pm in South West Wexford Family Resource Centre, Ramsgrange, Y34 DP26. Join us for plenty of fun and games for all ages. Includes an exhibition from our present LTI learners and an ‘end of programme’ celebration for our Connect Café participants and volunteers. All are welcome
TINTERN TRAILS FUNDRAISER
On Saturday 17th August, Irene Kelly will open her lovely Green Road Gardens to facilitate a fundraising day in aid of the Tintern Walking Trails.
Along with getting an opportunity to experience the beauty of the garden, the day will also include an exhibition of bird photographs, taken by well known local photographer Liam Ryan, and a demo of walking stick making by Wexford man Pat Walsh. Copies of the photos and a sample of walking sticks will be available to buy at the event. There will be poetry readings and music provided by well known local piper, Ned Wall, and by Jim Doyle and his musician friends.
The event runs from 10am to 5pm. Entrance fee is €10 and this includes tea/coffee and home baking. All proceeds will go towards the ongoing maintenance of Tintern Walking Trails
BAGINBUN NORMAN FESTIVAL
The 4th Baginbun Norman festival will be held at Fethard Castle on Sunday 18th August. There is an action packed schedule which includes a Norman Re-enactment group, Dunbrody Archery display, Medieval games and Music among many others. An historic talk will take place in the neighbouring St Mogues Church on Sunday afternoon and there will be an evening of music in the evening in St Mogues Church with Eleanor Shanley and Mike Hanrahan.
Entry to the Castle Grounds is free for all - tickets are only required for the events in St Mogues Church.
TRI THE HOOK TRIATHLON
For all you sports lovers out there why not check out this event. The Triathlon will take place on the Hook Peninsula on Saturday24th August and involves a 750m swim, 20km cycle and a 5km run. The swim takes place in historic Baginbun Bay, followed by a run around the Fethard area, and finishing up with the cycle. For more information check out www.trithehook. com
ST LOUIS DAY CARE CENTRE
St Louis Day Care Centre, Ramsgrange would be delighted if more people in our Community would like to avail of the services we offer.
Why not give yourself a day out to meet with friends, old and new, join in activities, or learn new ones, Bingo, Singing, Dancing, Art, Cards, to name but a few, while enjoying delicious freshly prepared meals from our kitchen. Our Cook is here to assist with any special dietary requirements. Our Nurse is on hand to deal with any minor medical issues.
The services provided include bus collection, laundry, bakery, GP clinic, chiropody, hairdressing, assisted showering, Meals on Wheels Monday to Friday. We like to think of St. Louis Day Care Centre as a home away from home where you will be warmly welcomed.

Field Day and Official Opening - The club would like to welcome everyone to Mersheen on Sunday, 19th August at 11.30am to officially open our back pitches and hurling wall. A great morning for our club and community and we look forward to seeing you then.
ACTIVE RETIREMENT GROUP
There is no meeting in August (Summer Holiday Break). The next monthly meeting will be held on Monday 2nd September in South West Wexford Resource Centre at 2pm.
