NOTTINGHAM Forest launched a bizarre attack on the referees’ body in England, claiming they were denied three penalties in their 2-0 defeat to relegation rivals Everton.

Forest savaged the PGMOL on social media at full-time, claiming they had ignored their protests over the appointment of Stuart Attwell as VAR.

Forest insist Attwell should not have officiated the game because he supports relegation rivals Luton.

The club posted on X, formerly known as Twitter: “Three extremely poor decisions — three penalties not given — which we cannot accept.

“We warned the

PGMOL that the

VAR is a

Luton fan before the game, but they didn’t change him.

Our patience has been tested multiple times.

“NFFC will now consider its options.”

Handball

Forest claimed they should have had spot-kicks for Ashley Young’s challenges on Giovanni Reyna and Callum Hudson-Odoi as well as for a handball against the Blues defender.

Boss Nuno Espírito Santo claimed he supported the club’s position.

“Yes I share it because I saw the images,” he said.

“You see it so clearly, you don’t understand why the decisions were against us.”

The PGMOL declined to comment and the FA are aware of Forest’s social media post and are investigating it.
