IT’S Shergar Cup day at Ascot, where four teams will be competing for points across the six races in a bid to be crowned champions.

Our team betting makes europe favourites at 2-1, but the Ladies team’s JOANNA MASON (25-1) has been the most popular in the Silver Saddle betting for the rider who scores the most points.

In the opening contest (1.35), where we have our Top price Guarantee, there’s been a bit of money, at 9-2 from 6-1, for BADRI, who will be ridden by Marie Velon, representing the Ladies.

The Ladies look to have another strong chance in the 2.45, when two-time Silver Saddle winner hayley Turner partners TRUTHFUL, who is a solid favourite at 7-2 from 9-2.

Shergar Cup debutant Billy Loughnane (above) rides favourite JARRAAF in the following race (3.20), and he has been backed into 6-4 from 2s.

A win for CHAMPAGNE PRINCE in the Shergar Cup Classic (3.55) would be the worst result on the day, with the rachel Venniker-ridden rest of the World entrant having been well supported from 20-1 into 12s.

In the finale (4.30), the Ladies once again have the favourite with New Image 3-1 from

10-3, while at bigger prices there’s been support for Great Britain & Ireland’s TACARIB BAY (16-1 from 20-1).

Away from Ascot, ANMAAT is an interesting favourite in the rose Of Lancaster Stakes (3.00) at haydock and he has plenty of market support behind him at 13-8 from 2s, despite not being seen since May last year.

In the dick hern Stakes (4.45), CAERNARFON (5-1 from 13-2) and NAOMI LAPAGLIA (6-1 from 15-2) have both attracted support.
