Singh: If DPCC is against INDIA bloc’s decisions, leadership must respond
THE AAP- DELHI CONGRESS rift in the city appears to have widened, with AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh Sunday saying if a state president is going against their top leadership’s decision, the latter should respond.
Singh made the comment at a press conference where he announced that leaders of the INDIA bloc will protest against the BJP, and PM Narendra Modi’s alleged misuse of CBI and ED to target Opposition leaders, in the Parliament complex Monday.
Asked about the AAP’S differences with the Congress in Delhi, Singh said, “I am giving information about the meeting where (Congress president Mallikarjun) Kharge ji also participated. This is a national-level meeting... What can I say if a state president is going against their top leadership’s decision... they (Congress) should answer this...”
He added, “If any state leader has a contrary opinion against their senior national leaders like Rahul Gandhi and Kharge, then they should give answers... If the Delhi unit of Congress is against the decisions taken unitedly by the INDIA bloc then their national leadership should respond...”
Delhi Congress president Devenderyadavhasonseveraloccasions alleged that the AAP does notcareabouttheproblemsofthe

“It was strange that AAP leaders and Ministers, including Water Minister Atishi, who sat on a sham ‘Jal Satyagraha’ demanding additional water from Haryana without success last week, held a protest today seeking the release of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal from CBI custody, who was arrested in connection with the liquor scam and money laundering, but the government was least bothered about the plight of Delhiites, who suffered untold misery yesterday when the first monsoon downpour submerged the Capital, and caused many human casualties incidents,” Yadav had said Saturday.
The AAP and Congress contested the Lok Sabha polls together in Delhi, on a 4-3 seat sharingarrangement, butfailedtowin any seats. The AAP said it will go alone in the Assembly polls, saying “the agreement was only for the Lok Sabha polls”.
