YSRCP leaders’ illegal earnings should be recovered: Yanamala
Senior TDP leader Yanamala Ramakrishnudu today made several suggestions to improve the financial condition of Andhra Pradesh. He said steps taken so far to make up for the financial losses incurred by the previous government were good. He wrote an open letter to Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu in this regard on Tuesday.
Yanamala, who had earlier served as finance minister, with his experience, made several suggestions to improve the financial condition of the State. He suggested that the government should take over the illegal earnings of YSRCP leaders by using the Revenue Recovery Act or a special law. He appreciated the progress taken by the present government to make up for the financial loss incurred by the Jagan Mohan Reddy government in the last five years.
Yanamala suggested 15 points to the new government and said these suggestions would improve the funds of the State exchequer and its financial health while also contributing to the implementation of the manifesto promises.
He asked the CM to request the Centre on regularisation of tax revenues, reasonable fixed loans, grant-in-aid more than what is available now, and so on. He said Ways and means, OD should be used carefully. “Steps should be taken to ensure that welfare schemes are available only to the deserving so that the expenses should be reduced. Leakages in capital expenditure should be curbed and Andhra Pradesh should be made an industrial destination and natural resources should be protected. Financial discipline guidelines in the FRBM Act should be strictly followed. The fiscal deficit should be controlled for the time-being with these measures. This will reduce the deficit in the coming years,” he added.
Ramakrishnudu said by curbing corruption, a conducive environment can be created for economic progress and prosperity in the State. Yanamala in the letter wished that with Chandrababu's visionary leadership and commitment to good governance, the State would achieve sustainable economic growth.
