Ex-minister Satyavathi Rathod slams Govt

- HYDERABAD

Former minister and MLC Satyavati Rathod today said she had met with student Motilal at the Central University and expressed her solidarity. She said Motilal held a hunger strike demanding that the Congress government in the State fill up jobs as promised to the unemployed youth in its manifesto. She alleged that Motilal’s fast put pressure on the government, which troubled him by preventing from meeting anyone. She said the student called off his fast on Tuesday as he was not keeping well. “He does not have a father, but his fight for unemployed youth is an inspiration for the youth. His kidneys and other organs were damaged and hence he called off his fast. However, he says he will fight again,” she added.

Addressing media persons at Telangana Bhavan, she said former CM KCR had given the tribal children lands, set up gurukulas and set up ST entrepreneurs. “All these schemes have filled our society with light. But the frauds committed by the Congress government are now being realised. In the first place, Motilal realised the fraud of the Congress Government and fought for it, for which I sincerely congratulate him. At least for now, the job calendar mentioned by the Congress government should be announced,” she added.

She also said every promise made to the people must be implemented, otherwise the people of the State were ready for rebellion. “Born in a small family, Motilal realised your deceptions and fought. In the coming days, our party will stand by those who will fight to bend the neck of the government. Our BRS party stands by the students on every issue. People will stop you from moving around in the villages and you should immediately put up the job calendar that you mentioned,” she said. She alleged that there were attacks on women in the State and added that rapes were also taking place. She mocked that the CM has time to go to Delhi, but he did not have time to meet the victims.
