Shala Praveshotsav to enrol 32.33 lakh students in state

The 21st edition of the Shala Praveshotsav and Kanya Kelavni Mohatsav kick started across Gujarat in the presence of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on Wednesday.
During this three-day Shala Praveshotsav, a total of 32.33 lakh children will be enrolled in schools across the state. This includes 11.73 lakh children eligible for Bal Vatika (kindergarten), 3.62 lakh children eligible for Grade 1, 10.35 lakh children transitioning from Grade 8 to 9, and 6.61 lakh students transitioning from Grade 10 to 11.
Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel enrolled children at Biliamba Primary School, a border village in Vanvasi Dang district, on Wednesday as part of this Shala Praveshotsav themed ‘A Celebration of Joyful Education’. The CM enrolled 24 children in Class 1 at Biliamba Primary School, 21 children in Bal Vatika, and 7 children in Anganwadi. On the second day, June 27, the CM will participate in the Shala Praveshotsav in Chhota Udepur taluka, followed by the last day on June 28 in Thaan taluka of Surendranagar district. In this educational initiative aimed at bringing education to remote villages in the state, ministers of the state cabinet, including the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, along with a total of 367 high-ranking officials such as IAS, IPS, and IFS officers, will be present at various locations to facilitate children’s enrollment in schools.
Accordingly, the Legislative Assembly Speaker and other ministers will join the Shala Praveshotsav at various locations.
Additionally, the honourable Chief Whips of the Gujarat Legislative Assembly will also participate in the program. Balkrishna Khanderao Shukla in Vadodara, among others will be enrolling the children into the schools.
