30 smart schools launched
Shah announced the move at a Naranpura event
Union Home Minister Amit Shah dedicated 30 smart schools to the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation's School Board (AMC) on Friday at an event in the Naranpura area.
Addressing the gathering, Shah remarked, “I’d like to extend greetings on the 10th International Yoga Day. Ten years ago, Prime Minister Modi proposed to the United Nations that June 21 be designated as Yoga Day, and within two months, almost 170 countries agreed. Today, in its tenth year, the world celebrates yog”.
“I have come to Gujarat for the first time after the 2024 Lok Sabha election, and I am happy about the fact that after becoming MP and minister again, my first program is for the children of poor and lowincome families,” the Gandhinagar mp told reporters.
“The Ahmedabad School Board has launched thirty smart schools today. Nine of these schools are in Ghatlodia, ten in Vejalpur, four in Naranpura,
and seven in the Sabarmati area. The new education policy will benefit 30,000 students,” he added.
The Home Minister also stated, “In Gandhinagar Lok Sabha seat, 59 out of 69 schools have become smart schools. When I arrived in January, I demanded that the Ahmedabad School Board convert all of the schools in the Gandhinagar Lok Sabha constituency into smart schools, and I am grateful that practically all of them have been changed. "The remaining ten will be converted very soon.”
“The Ahmedabad School Board of AMC provides elementary education to around 1.7 lakh pupils in 459 schools in English, Hindi, Gujarati, and Urdu. I visited two schools today and engaged with the students, and I am pleased to report that what we studied in grades 9-10 in physics and biology, the students in grades 67 informed me with complete confidence. Tahis improvement in the lives of students from disadvantaged families makes me very happy,” he continued.
Shah went on to say “These smart schools offer courses in skill development, vocational training, digital empowerment, maths and science labs, future classrooms, 3D educational charts, and language training. All of this will improve the lives of 30,000 students.”
Shah expressed confidence in the new education policy and stated that it will help 30,000 students
