Chhattisga­rh Finance Department issues guidelines for vehicles

The Finance Department, Government of Chhattisga­rh on Tuesday issued detailed guidelines regarding eligibilit­y and purchase of government vehicles along with determinin­g the fuel limit of government vehicles for the offices located in Nava Raipur, Atal Nagar.

The Finance Department has issued a letter to all department­s, Chairman, Board of Revenue Bilaspur, all heads of government department­s, divisional commission­ers and collectors for implementa­tion.

The new directives state that officers of All India Services and the officers in the senior pay scale, Joint Directors of Secretaria­t and Head of Department offices will be entitled to get the government vehicle. Such officers, who are posted in field offices, will be entitled to get government vehicles after getting administra­tive approval with the consent of the Finance department.

A new vehicle will be purchased from the new fund. Therefore, any new purchase should be made only after making provision in the budget through the Finance Department and after competent approval.

Government vehicle will be purchased up to the limit of Rs 12 lakh for the use of Secretary or officers above Secretary and District Judge, District Collector and Superinten­dent of Police and government vehicle will be purchased up to the limit of Rs 8.50 lakh for the use of Joint Director and higher level officers posted in the Secretaria­t and Head of Department offices.

For field office officers and pools, vehicles will be procured up to the limit of Rs 10 lakh (depending on the work and requiremen­t, the balance of Rs 10 lakh only for Utility Vehicle SUV Type, up to Rs 8.50 lakh).

The Finance Department has determined the fuel limit. 250 litres petrol or diesel has been fixed for officers, who are residing in Raipur and posted in government offices located in Nava Raipur. 80 litres petrol or diesel has been fixed for officers residing in Nava Raipur. 375 litres petrol or diesel have been fixed for pool vehicles.
