Jagadish Reddy slams Revanth Reddy govt

- FPJ BUREAU/HYDERABAD

BRS party leader and MLA G. Jagadish Reddy today criticised the Congress government for betraying the people by not fulfilling its six guarantees. He alleged that the Congress leaders had opened up another fraud in Telangana and added that the promises made by the Congress in Telangana had proved to be water logs.

"The Congress has cheated all the people in Telangana like it did in Karnataka,” Jagadish Reddy said while noting that people were under the impression that the change would be there under the Congress rule when they voted for that party and did not think there would be a crisis like before 2014.

“Women were not given Rs 2,500 per month. Now they are again promising to give Rs 1 lakh per year to women. Congress leaders are saying morals by keeping aside those who have joined the BRS party. If Rahul Gandhi is sincere, he should disqualify the three MLAs of our party,” he said. He also challenged the MLAs to resign.

Addressing media persons at Telangana Bhavan, Jagadish Reddy said KCR had said they would not stop Rythu bandhu scheme. He made it clear that no one would stop the government from giving Rythu Bandhu. “KCR has said the interests of the farmers are important. When KCR is coming, Congress leaders are getting wet in their pants," he said.

Referring to the release of water from different projects of the State, he questioned as to how the motors that did not work were running now. "Farmers are laughing when they are getting water after the crops dried up. If water had been released earlier, crops would not have been damaged. KCR worked hard day and night to sustain agriculture,” he said. He said if KCR worked hard for 10 years and sustained agriculture, he alleged that within three months, the Congress government had destroyed it. “The Congress government should be ashamed of this. Even when the water level in Sagar was less than this, water was given by then, he reminded.

He alleged that CM Revanth Reddy was collecting money in his 100 days rule and sending it to his Delhi bosses. "The ministers are struggling to save the chair. Millers, crusher owners and contractors are struggling to make collections," he said, adding that the farmers were left at the mercy of the millers. "Farmers are worried that the price has gone away after the Congress government came to power.

At a meeting held in Tukkuguda on Friday by the Congress party, there was no mention of farmers in the words of the Congress leaders. "The priority that ministers have to watch the IPL is not on farmers. Congress is like pocket thieves and day thieves. All the rituals that existed before 2014 have started again," he added. Jagadish Reddy demanded immediate compensation of Rs 25,000 per acre for the dried crops. He suggested to give bonus of Rs 500 per quintal for all crops besides a loan waiver of Rs 2 lakh to farmers immediately. He asked the government to give an assurance to the banks not to go after the farmers.
