More than one lakh women voters take oath to vote
Bemetara’s name registered in ‘Golden Book of World Records’ Raipur city to have 10 new charging stations
Women voters created a unique world record in Bemetara district as more than one lakh women of the district took oath to vote.
To increase the percentage of voting in the Lok Sabha general elections and to make voters aware about voting, a voter awareness program was conducted in the urban bodies and gram panchayats of all the three assembly constituencies including Bemetara assembly constituency on Thursday. The district administration conducted a survey to create voter awareness.
More than one lakh women voters took oath to vote at the same time at 12 noon in the entire district as Collector and District Election Officer Ranbir Sharma administered the oath.
Golden Book of World Records Chhattisgarh incharge Sonal Sharma made the announcement from the stage and initially handed over the certificate to Collector and District Election Officer Ranbir Sharma.
Sharma said that the real owner of the certificate and the record made is the woman voter, who took oath with full enthusiasm in the scorching heat to vote in all the urban bodies and gram panchayats of the district including the district headquarters.
Out of the target of 10 charging stations for the electric vehicles, Raipur district administration has established it at four places in Raipur city. Raipur Collector Dr. Gaurav Singh inspected the station established in Collectorate Multilevel Parking sought details. During the inspection, Senior Superintendent of Police Santosh Kumar Singh, Municipal Corporation Commissioner Abinash Mishra, Chief Executive Officer of District Panchayat Vishwadeep were also present.
The multilevel parking provides the facility of charging 03 vehicles at the same time at three points for the four-wheelers. It provides full charging of the vehicle in less than 45 minutes. The capacity of these charging stations is 142 kilowatts. All are fast and AC chargers.
The other charging points are at Jaistambh Chowk Multi Level Parking, I.S.B.T. Electric charging station is also operational in the campus and Municipal Corporation headquarters. Chargers with 3 guns have been installed at all stations. There is a fixed fee of Rs 18 per unit from the vehicle owner at the charging station, the official communication said.
The Raipur Municipal Corporation, in collaboration with Indian Oil Corporation, will be establishing a total 10 new charging networks of charging stations in the city, under which Subhash Stadium, Raipur Smart City Office Complex, Jawahar Bazaar Parking Charging stations are being prepared near the premises.
Lakshmi Textile Market Pandari, near Central Library, Zone 10 Office, LIC Housing Shankar Nagar, Anupam Nagar Garden, Gandhi Udyan Parking and Amanaka, the facility of which will also be available to electric vehicle drivers soon.
