It was a stressful day for writer Haarsh Limbachiyaa and his wife, comedian Bharti

Singh, who revealed on Thursday that their YouTube channel, Bharti TV, was hacked. The channel, which boasts three million subscribers and showcases their daily lives, was compromised.

Limbachiyaa recounts, “We upload videos daily, three or four times a day. Suddenly, around 6.30pm, we were logged out of our channel. When we checked, the channel was no longer visible, and everything — the name and videos — had been altered. We were confused and reached out to YouTube’s support via Twitter and Instagram.”

YouTube’s team from the United States then contacted them. “We emailed them, and due to the time difference, we spent the night working with their technical team to resolve the issue. Thankfully, we regained access to our channel by Friday morning,” Limbachiyaa shares.

He also notes the additional stress, saying, “It plays a very big role in our lives. It is very difficult to get people to subscribe to your channel, especially when your background isn’t in the medium. We were from TV and mainstream media, this world and YouTube’s world are completely different. We have built this channel over a period of four years. We started in 2020, and today, in 2024, our efforts and paisa, everything has been invested in this channel. We were under a lot of stress,” he ends.
