LUCKNOW : Uttar Pradesh government has deployed senior IAS officers as nodal officers for 75 districts to camp in districts, get feedback and ensure action on the reports of groups of ministers following their visits to districts under their charge.

A fresh list of 75 IAS officers has been worked out and the officers have been asked to undertake a two-day visit to the districts assigned to them, camp there and ensure agenda-wise implementation of the report submitted by the ministers.

Besides resolving the issues raised by the people, the nodal officers have been asked to meet the public representatives in the districts to get feedback and ensure effective implementation. “Yes, the officers have been asked to visit their respective district for two days every two months making six visits in a year and camp there,” said a senior officer quoting chief secretary Manoj Kumar Singh’s order dated September 9, 2024 sent to all the nodal officers in this regard.

Chief secretary’s order instructs nodal officers to review flagship and other government schemes, taking action against those responsible for any laxity in implementation. On the second day of their visit, nodal officers are required to visit a village, hold an open meeting to get feedbacks and conduct physical verification of the government programmes. They will verify the disposal of grievances on the IGRS/CM helpline portal. The action taken by the nodal officers must be made available to chief minister’s office within three days
