Painting their heart out!
Students displayed their artistic side during the Art With Heart exhibition that was inaugurated at Lalit Kala Academy, Aliganj, on Friday. Organised by Study Hall Educational Foundation (SHEF), the exhibition opened to the public on Saturday and will continue till August 1.
Author and Padma Shri recipient Vidya Vindu Singh inaugurated the exhibition in the presence of SHEF founder Urvashi Sahni, principal Meenakshi Bahadur and others including Meenakshi Shah, Rakhee Panjwani, Anand Chitravanshi and others.
The exhibition featured an impressive array of artwork, including paintings, murals, lino print, illustrations and installation art done by the students. Around 450 students took part in the exhibition and nearly 1,000 works were put on display.
After the lamp ligting ceremony, a cultural programme was presented on the occasion which included harmonium and vocals by Biju Bhagwati followed by a captivating dance
performance by the students.
“Art is a powerful tool for emotional well-being, offering a healthy outlet for emotions and alleviating stress. I am truly impressed with the beautiful artworks created by the students,” said Singh.
SHEF founder Sahni said, “We integrate art into school curriculums which enhances the learning process by fostering creativity, critical thinking, and emotional wellbeing among students. Artistic activities such as painting
encourage students to express themselves uniquely, develop problem-solving skills, and build cultural awareness.”
Class tenth student Shambhavi Singh shared, “My painting’s name is Path to Serenity which I have learnt from guest artist during a workshop held in the school. I have used leave pattern in my landscape painting.”
The exhibition will remain open from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm.
