WINDS OF CHANGE
You will notice in this first issue for 2024 that our cover looks a little different. Needless to say, that when you flip through the pages, the changes are even more palpable. Like many aspects of the game today, Golf Asia believes that if you don’t move forwards, you’re falling backwards.
The magazine will continue to bring you the best of golf and its lifestyle with coverage that informs, educates and entertains at the same time. Golf Asia has and will always be dedicated to the game in this country – and beyond – and given the persistent shift in the winds of the media space, we will continually work to improve our offerings to help you enjoy the game even more. Our cover profile of Lyn Yeo is, perhaps, a nod to the direction we’re taking. There is no hiding the fact that Yeo is a controversial figure, albeit one that has contributed greatly to women and junior golf in Singapore. Our exclusive Q&A this month lets her tell her side of the story, and what drives her to do the things she does.
Tim Pinnegar, a successful stalwart of the senior amateur golf circuit in Singapore has joined our team as a contributor. He parlays his rich competition experience, and engagement with the Singapore Golf Association, into a behind-the-scenes feature on the training programme of the Singapore national training squads. In addition to our comprehensive content that covers equipment, instruction, and the latest from the professional tours, Golf Asia will also improve on its line-up of content that addresses the lifestyle of golf. We, above all, understand that golfers not only enjoy hitting golf balls and playing exciting courses, but also enjoy the finer things in life. We’re stoked about the promising year ahead and hope that you are as well. As the popularity of golf continues to grow, we aim to grow with it. Join us on this exciting journey as we bring you the best in the game and everything else around it.
Here’s wishing you all the best in 2024!
