Who's nominated?

Unsuprisnlgy, Swift leads this year's nominations with 12 nods - eight for her 'Fortnight' music video, two in social media categories, and nominations for Best Pop and Artist of the Year. Close behind her is 'Fortnight' collaborator Post Malone, who has 11 nominations. Ten of his nods are shared with Swift, while his 11th is for his country hit 'I Had Some Help', featuring Morgan Wallen. Will Swi make history?

If the past is any indication, Swift might be de livering multiple acceptance speeches. Last year, she won nine VMAs, bringing her career total to 23. That places her just behind Beyoncé, who has 30 VMAs, and ahead of Madonna, with

20. Lady Gaga follows closely with

19.

If Swift wins seven awards this year, she will tie Beyoncé’s record, and with eight wins, she would officially become the mostawarded artist in VMA history. That is, of course, if Beyoncé doesn’t add to her own tally. Beyoncé is nominated for Song of the Year ('Texas Hold 'Em') and two social categories.

Will Taylor Swi attend the VMAs?

It's still unclear. But if she does, winning would give her a prominent stage to voice support for Kamala Harris' presidential bid. Swift endorsed Harris on Tuesday night, shortly after the vice president’s debate with former president Donald Trump.

Who is hosting this year's VMAs?

The VMAs will be hosted by rapper, singer, songwriter, businesswoman and hot girl summer purveyor Megan Thee Stallion, marking her debut as an award show host.

She’s also slated to perform.

The past two years saw Nicki Minaj as host, solo in 2023, and cohosting with Lil Wayne and Jack Harlow in 2022.

Which artists are performing at the VMAs?

The star-studded performer lineup also includes Eminem, who will kick off the show, alongside

Benson Boone, Sabrina Carpenter, Megan Thee Stallion, Chappell Roan, GloRilla, Halsey, Lenny Kravitz, LISA, Rauw Alejandro, Karol G, LL COOL J, Shawn Mendes, Camila Cabello, and Anitta.

Anitta will be joined by Fat Joe, DJ Khaled, and Tiago PZK.
