Mhlonishwa Motsa walks out of ‘Bucs’

-

Moneni Pirates Corporate Affairs Manager Mhlonishwa Motsa has stepped down from his position four days after the appointment of the new marketing committee. Motsa cited a conflict of interest between the team and his current place of employment.

He has been replaced by veteran administrator Abel Sibandze as head of marketing while Secretary Sibusiso Nkambule will also double as the team Public Relations Officer (PRO).

This was confirmed by a statement released by the team President Osborne Nzima on Friday afternoon.

“Moneni Pirates FC hereby announces that the Marketing, Corporate and PR Officer, Mhlonishwa Motsa has resigned from the Management Committee (MC). Motsa’s resignation is a result of a noted conflict of interest in his recent employment,” he said.

Nzima further wished Motsa the best of luck in his future endeavours.

“We wish Motsa the best of blessings in his new employment and further wish same to the officers deployed to take over his duties in the team. We hope and pray they will continue to consult and work with him behind the scenes,” he added.

The new Pirates MC headed by former Treasurer Thembinkosi Dlamini has been mandated to steer the Buccaneers’ out of relegation danger as the black-and-white ensemble is currently languishing at the bottom of the MTN Premier League log table with seven points in 13 matches.

The ‘Sea Robbers will visit National First Division rookies Pigg’s Peak Rangers on Saturday at Killarney Stadium in the SMVAF Ingwenyama Cup last 32 clash.
