Neighbourhood Ancaster Features Located near the Hamilton Golf and Country Club and a short drive from the historic downtown, this home is one of a handful of properties in the area that are listed for more than $2 million.

This five-bedroom, five-bathroom Robina Road home has more than 3,300 square feet of living space and oversized windows that offer views of the nearby ravine and mature trees, said Wendy Tanner, a broker with Re/Max Escarpment Realty Inc.

“You feel like you’re in the treetops,” said Tanner, who has the property co-listed with broker Mark Woehrle. “It’s a very lightfilled and lofty house.”

The home was built by Evala Custom Builds and Renovations and construction wrapped up last year.

The finishings throughout the home include engineered white oak floors, quartz countertops, professional-grade appliances and brushed gold hardware.

The main floor includes an openconcept living room with a gas fireplace and glass wine cabinet, a chef style kitchen with a large island and servery, a formal dining room and an office space.

Upstairs, there are four bedrooms and three bathrooms. The primary suite has a large, walk-in closet with a five-piece ensuite that includes a soaker tub, walk-in shower and double sink. The laundry room is also on the upper level.

The fully finished basement features soaring ceilings, a large recreation room with a wet bar, space for a home gym and a three-piece bathroom.

Outside, there is a partially covered, wraparound deck that can be accessed through a set of sliding glass doors in the kitchen. The backyard is fully fenced.

Tanner said the home could lend itself to multi-generational living, as the office space on the main floor could be used by an older family member and the basement could be a living space for a young adult still at home.

Woehrle noted that while the home is brand new, it was built in a “well-established” neighbourhood on a quiet cul-de-sac, with ease of access to amenities such as shops, restaurants and trails.

Why is it priced this way? Tanner said the price of the house was influenced by the square footage of the home, the size of the lot and the quality of the finishings.

The home was last listed for $2,999,900 earlier this year, according to HouseSigma, a real-estate data collection service.
