LECLAIR, Gertrude
Peacefully and surrounded with her loving family at home in North Rustico on Monday, May 6, 2024, Gertrude Leclair passed away at the age of 83 years. Beloved wife of Armand Leclair and loving mother of Patrick Leclair (Tanya) Ian (Laurie) Leclair and Kelly Leclair. Cherished grandmother of Kristin (Al), Logan (Jerrica), Carter, Bryanna (Daniel), Connor (Sarah), RJ, Shianne and Anicho. Loving great-grandmother to Ava, Dallas and Harrison. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters, Oswald (Marion), Douglas (Anne), Geraldine Gauthier (Gerard), Harold, Michael (Patricia), Garnett, Dennis (Susan) and Joanne Gallant (Roland); sisters-in-law, Rosella Rossiter, Jackie Gallant and Yvonne Leclair. "Auntie Gert" was loved by numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Alyre and Maud (Blacquiere) Gallant; brothers, Basil and Charles "Buddy" (Ann); infant brothers, Douglas and Wendall. The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to Gert's sisters Geraldine Gauthier and Joanne Gallant for their around-the-clock love, care and support for Gert at home during her illness. Resting at the Central Queen’s Funeral Home, New Glasgow, for visitation on Thursday, May 9, from 4-7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church, North Rustico, on Friday, May 10, at 10:30 a.m. Interment in Stella Maris Cemetery.
