Melcom enters multi-family market with Aspire at Sage Hill development
Melcom Homes, a relatively new player in Calgary's new home construction scene, is turning its attention from single-family custom product to the multi-family market with the launch of Aspire at Sage Hill.
The new mixed-use development, featuring 65 condos, 35 townhomes and commercial space is being built on the northeast corner of Symons Valley Parkway and 37th Street N.W. The 3.5-acre parcel of land was acquired in 2021 by Melcom, a company that's made a solid entry into Calgary's housing market despite its pandemic-era startup in 2020.
Melcom specializes in building eco-friendly custom homes using low environmental impact materials while integrating energy-efficient technologies. The condos and townhomes in Aspire will be built following the similar principles.

The one-bedroom, one-bathroom and two-bedroom, two-bathroom condos are available in six floor plans, ranging from 645 to 990 square feet. Prices start at $299,000. The three- and four-bedroom townhomes have 1,538 to 1,845 sq.-ft. with prices starting at $559,000.
Townhome buyers can upgrade to Melcom's Eco-life package, which includes premium insulation, top-tier windows and doors, a high-efficiency HVAC system, energy recovery ventilation, LED lighting, energy-saving appliances, water-conserving features, a twostage furnace, tankless hot water heater, foundation wrap, heat pump, six solar panels and smart home technology.
Aspire will include a playground and electric-vehicle charging stations. The location is within walking distance of transit and shopping centres in the Sage Hill district.
Construction is underway with completion anticipated for August 2025.
In the four years it has been in existence, Melcom has built custom homes in inner-city Calgary neighbourhoods including Renfrew, Killarney, Montgomery and Tuxedo Park and in new communities such as Walden, Discovery Ridge, Nolan Hill, Sage Hill and Echo Haven. It also builds in Airdrie and Edmonton.
