With seven Grand Slam titles and four Olympic gold medals, tennis champion Venus Williams is one of the most accomplished and inspiring women in the history of sports. Venus was the first African American to reach a number one ranking in the Open Era and has been a profound advocate for gender equity throughout her career. Off the court, Venus has several successful business endeavors including plant-based protein company Happy Viking, where she can showcase her passion for wellness and empower others to embrace healthier lifestyles.

Co-author Kelly E. Carter is a former sportswriter at USA Today, the Dallas Morning News, Orange County Register, and other newspapers. She segued into entertainment reporting with a correspondent position at People before adding travel and food writing to her repertoire. A contributing editor at Elite Traveler and a freelance writer, she currently writes about lifestyles, celebrities, and business, and appears regularly on the Travel Channel. She lives in her native Los Angeles.
