Hockey wraps up

The West Gippsland Hockey Associatio­n season wrapped up with their grand finals on Saturday at Bellbird Park.

There were a number of thrilling matches to end the year as well as the presentati­ons of each grade's most valuable player.

The results are as follows:

Under 12s

Aztecs 5 defeated Warriors 4.

Goal scorers Aztecs: Tyler Boltong 4 and Wyatt Cobbledick.

Goal scorers Warriors: Shepard Ah Wong, Oliver Fallon, Joshua Smorenburg, Georgia Hazell.

Under 15s

Warriors 2 defeated Gulls 1.

Goal scorers Warriors: Zach Coster.

Goal scorers Gulls: Issac Graziotin.

Under 18s

Gulls 7 defeated Aztecs 4.

Goal scorers Gulls: Talitha Graziotin, Joshua Graziotin 2, Bobby Haynes, Nikita Conley and Regi Brown.

Goal scorers Aztecs: Cailean Thomas 2, Eve Thorpe, Monique McAskill.

Women's

Aztecs 17 defeated Drouids 12.

Goal scorers Aztecs: Ebonie McAskill 6, Lauren Austen 5, Monique McAskill, Robyn Ridsdale, Eve Thorpe 2.

Goal scorers Drouids: Hannah Van Breugel 6, Nicole Creaser, Stephanie Selvaraj 2, Belinda Coulton, Justine Gooding.

Men's

Drouids 6 defeated Aztecs 2

Goal scorers Drouids: Matthew Zurrer 2, Peter Stewart, Alec Zurrer, Seth Rumble, Edward Edmonds .
