Longwarry’s Ethan Seskis fires on goal despite a desperate smother attempt from Buln Buln’s Tyler Best in the under 18s.

Yarragon accounted for Nyora in a close contest as the top four in the reserves all scored big wins.

Nyora held a narrow lead throughout much of the contest, a four-point quarter lead narrowing to a solitary point at the next two breaks.

Captain David Bates helped the Panthers step up when counted, booting three goals to nil to hold out the determined Nyora, 8-16 (54) to 6-10 (46).

Zak and Ty Keeble, Keegan Hewitt, Joel Binzer and Tim Fraser were also prominent for Yarragon.

Buln Buln kicked away in the second half to account for Longwarry, 14-11 (95) to 7-9 (51).

The Crows were in touch at half time, trailing by just seven points, before the Lyrebirds kicked clear with nine goals to three.

Brendan Wall, Logan Wallmeyer, Bailey Leatham, Jacob Pickthall, Dylan Kelly and Jaran Guy were the better players for Buln Buln.

Longwarry were best served by Angus Young, John Werner, Lucas Kallady, Jackson Mouser, Brock Stanfield and Jake Serong.

Seven goals from Toby Bayne helped Neerim-Neerim South to a big win over Nilma-Darnum, 18-15 (123) to 2-2 (14).

The Cats kicked five goals to nil in the first term and were never headed, also adding five majors in both middle periods of the match.

Rhys George, Harry Notman, Dane Fawcett, Aaron Mitchell and Justin Lockett were also prominent.

The Bombers played the game out, scoring two goals to three in the final term.

Liam Harman-Dorney, Matthew Clynes, Blake Roberts, Christophe­r Cameron, Blake Cann and Sam Anderson were the better players.

Ellinbank was a big winner over Catani, 21-19 (145) to 2-2 (14).

Ryan Parsons booted five goals with Shaun Phelan, Ashley Scott, Jack Cole and Jacob Walker also prominent.

Catani were best served by Chase Hobson, Riley Miller, Tom Williams, Nathaniel Rodda, Michael Ralph and Brandon Blood.

Kurt Batt and Tadhg O'Riordan booted 11 goals between them as Lang Lang took a huge margin over Poowong, 29-19 (193) to 1-0 (6).

Lachlan Trudgeon, Nathan Perkins, Bryce Fraser and Rhys Simmons were also prominent.

Battling against the odds for the Magpies were Damian Barreto, Jake Peacock, Connor King, Lachlan Waters, Daniel McDonald and Jye Loughridge.

Weaving his way through the midfield is Longwarry captain Josh Downes.
