What can be planted and grown over the summer
The perfect time to plant seeds can vary according to the variety, cultivar, and location. There may be subtle differences even within the same region, so always read the seed supplier’s instructions. In general, the following can be planted over summer

Of the above, rosella seeds will not thrive in cold temperate areas and it is best not to attempt to sow leeks in tropical and warm subtropical areas at this time. In cold temperate regions it is too late to attempt to grow capsicums, cape gooseberries, eggplant and tomatoes from seed.
